On Friday, December 8th Mr. Long and four students traveled to Marysville High School for an Ag Fabrication Contest. The team consisted of Tanner Martinez, Marcus Montgomery, Max Landon and Rowan Turnquist. This was the second competition for these students and they did amazing! Every student had a role in building the project that we designed in our Ag Mechanics class. The weather conditions were tough due to the moisture and the wind which isn’t all that friendly for MIG welding. We were excited to use our departments new Miller Trail Blazer generator welder to accomplish our project and our goals. The team worked for 6hrs straight and out of 15 teams took 2nd place! This opportunity has opened new doors for our students who are aiming to find a career path in manufacturing/welding.
